On Saturday (Oct / 24th) GMReis took the Distance Learning & Skills Lab – New Trends in Wrist Surgery course, organized by Dr. Márcio Aita – Sao Paulo.
In addition to the organizer, also lectured important hand and wrist specialist surgeons: Dr. Antônio Tufi – Belo Horizonte, Dr. Carlos Saenz – Curitiba, Dr. Fidel Cayon – Quito, Dr. Gustavo Mantovani – São Paulo, Dr. Rene Jorquera – Santiago, and Dr. Ricardo Kaempf – Porto Alegre.
12 boxes containing more than 170 items including bones, implants and instruments were distributed in nine Brazilian states and one to Santiago – Chile; and these teams were able to carry out the practices presented on synthetic bones, remotely.
The event was open to the public, and the audience had XXXX registrants, from XXX countries, who also participated with questions.
This pioneering project in the world of discussing cases and practices with anatomical models totally remote and in real time seeks to promote continuing medical education even in a period of social distancing due to the pandemic.
